Balti Sauce recipe
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons of coconut oil or ghee
6 Medium onions chopped
2 cloves of garlic crushed
1 inch piece of ginger grated
2 teaspoons of ground coriander
1 teaspoons of ground cumin
½ teaspoon of turmeric
½ teaspoon of chilli powder
1 teaspoon of garam masala
2 bay leaves
6 cardamon pods
2 tins of chopped tomatoes or 6 whole fresh tomatoes peeled and chopped
1 tablespoon of tomato puree
½ teaspoon of Celtic or Himalayan salt
1 teaspoon of dried fenugreek leaves
½ pint of water or fragrant stock if you have any
How to make Smooth Balti Sauce
