About Stevies Curry Magic

Hi, I'm Steve — though most of my friends call me Stevie.
I've loved cooking for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are helping my mum in the kitchen on Sunday mornings, baking cakes and preparing traditional Sunday roast dinners. Over the years my taste for food grew bolder, and I quickly developed a passion for spicy dishes. One of the first that really hooked me was a good old chilli con carne, which eventually led me to discover the incredible flavours of Indian cuisine.
Today my biggest cooking obsession is recreating the rich, bold flavours of British Indian Restaurant (BIR) style curries — the kind of dishes you find in great curry houses. Through Stevie's Curry Magic I share the base gravies, spice blends, techniques, and recipes that make those restaurant-style curries so special.
I now live in sunny Cyprus, where the fresh Mediterranean ingredients inspire many of the dishes I cook and share here.
